The Community Motion Project provides limited bus pass assistance to Birmingham-area residents who need transportation support for essential needs.
This program is designed to help individuals get to work, job interviews, school, training programs, medical appointments, court-required appointments, housing appointments, and other important services.
Bus passes are available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
Participants must complete a short intake form and check in using their Greedy House barcode. Registering for a barcode does not guarantee that a bus pass will be available.
Standard assistance is limited to one adult day bus pass per person, per week.
You may qualify if you are experiencing a temporary transportation barrier and need help getting to an essential appointment, service, or opportunity.
Priority may be given to individuals who need transportation for:
•Work or job interviewSchool, GED, or training programs
•Medical appointments or pharmacy visits
•Housing-related appointments
•Court-required appointments
•Family stability or crisis needs
•Re-entry or community reintegration support
Bus passes are not provided for entertainment, nonessential travel, group transportation, resale, trade, or repeated personal use outside of the program’s purpose.
The Greedy House may deny or pause assistance if someone provides false information, attempts to receive multiple passes under different names, sells or trades passes, refuses intake, or becomes disruptive toward staff or volunteers.
The Community Motion Project is a limited assistance program. Bus passes are provided based on donations, funding, and availability.
Completing intake or registering for a barcode does not guarantee assistance.
To register for your barcode complete the intake form below.

Did you know that a $20 donation can sponsor an essentials kit for a family of 4? That can be food, hygiene or household cleaning supplies. You can donate by using the link below.
Your generosity helps us to continue to bridge the gap between the Birmingham and much needed resources.
